Role overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Report punctually in the correct uniform and name badge and perform duties assigned by stewarding leaders.
• Complete general cleaning duties according to performance standards and schedules.
• Use stewarding equipment safely and economically, including dishwashing, glass-washing, pot-washing, floor-cleaning, silver-burnishing, and transportation equipment.
• Clean, wash, and polish dishes and food and beverage operating equipment, pots, pans, and utensils according to hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Count, sort, and prepare operating equipment for banquet functions.
• Maintain equipment and utensils to a high standard with minimum breakage; keep machinery clean and sanitized.
• Clean service and back-of-house areas and keep kitchen areas neat and organized.
• Remove food waste and garbage at required intervals according to sanitation standards.
• Maintain personal hygiene and grooming; wear the prescribed uniform in good condition and the name badge.
• Report suspicious circumstances and damage to furniture, fittings, or equipment to supervisors.
• Communicate positively, maintain good working relationships, and attend relevant meetings, briefings, and training.
• Adapt to departmental changes and carry out other duties as assigned.
