Role overview

Guest service and standards

• Follow LQA and outlet service standards while delivering efficient service.
• Know menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods; describe dishes and make informed recommendations.
• Follow procedures for allergens and dietary requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of bar operations, including coffee, tea, and cocktails, and uphold preparation and presentation standards.
• Address guests by name when possible and recognize regular and VIP guests.
• Record and communicate guest preferences to outlet leadership and accurately update Opera for in-house guests.
• Check guest satisfaction, handle feedback professionally, and escalate complaints, incidents, and operational challenges promptly.

Outlet operations

• Complete opening, closing, and side duties and required checklists accurately.
• Participate in monthly equipment inventories and report discrepancies.
• Minimize waste and breakages and handle equipment appropriately.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Stewarding, and Engineering to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Contribute to outlet targets through upselling and guest engagement.
• Complete departmental paperwork, logs, and reports accurately and by deadlines.
• Handle cash and financial transactions accurately and according to procedures.
• Support colleagues across the outlet and other Food and Beverage outlets during peak periods; perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and experience

• At least two years of Food and Beverage experience.
• Experience in five-star luxury hospitality.
• Strong reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
• Hospitality studies are preferable.
• A second foreign language is a plus.
