MIRA Construction seeks an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead scheduling, monitoring, and project control across high-value construction and engineering projects.
The role focuses on timely, cost-effective project delivery through baseline planning, progress tracking, delay analysis, and mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Create, optimize, and maintain baseline schedules with work breakdown structures, activity networks, resource loading, and cost loading using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Update master schedules, monitor progress, perform Critical Path Method analysis, and evaluate project performance against baseline metrics.
- Track Earned Value Management indicators, including SPI and CPI, and conduct Time Impact Analysis for delay claims and extensions of time.
- Prepare resource histograms, manpower allocation plans, and monthly cash-flow forecasts aligned with project budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve scheduling bottlenecks and improve workflow execution.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports and dashboards covering KPIs, risk analysis, recovery plans, and progress photos.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- 7–10+ years of progressive planning and project control experience in large-scale UAE construction, infrastructure, or MEP projects.
- Advanced expertise in Primavera P6 Professional or EPPM; strong skills in MS Project and MS Excel.
- Power BI or AutoCAD skills are listed; advanced Excel formulas and VBA/macros are a plus.
- PMP or PMI-SP certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, delay analysis methodologies, and claim management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
