The role

MIRA Construction seeks a Senior Cost Control Engineer for luxury branded residential developments across the UAE.

The role tracks, forecasts and reports project costs across a large, complex portfolio, providing senior leaders with timely insight into project status, financial exposure and risks.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project cost-control systems, budgets and cost baselines for mega-scale developments.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, cash-flow forecasts and cost-to-complete projections.
  • Produce executive dashboards and reports highlighting risks, variances and decisions required.
  • Monitor committed, actual and forecast final costs against approved budgets.
  • Analyse variation orders, change requests and claims for their budget and programme impact.
  • Review contractor and consultant payment applications against contracts, progress and budget.
  • Work with Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Design and Project Management teams to align costs throughout project stages.
  • Support value engineering and cost savings without compromising luxury quality.
  • Review tender evaluations, contract awards and buyout savings.
  • Perform cost benchmarking and trend analysis; identify risks and recommend mitigations.
  • Maintain an audit trail and improve cost-control processes, tools and reporting standards.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
  • At least five years of cost control experience with large UAE construction or development companies.
  • Proven experience on multi-billion-value mega projects is essential.
  • Experience on luxury residential developments, including villas, apartments or branded residences with high-end finishes.
  • Experience with complex amenities such as beach clubs, golf courses, hospitality or large-scale infrastructure is strongly preferred.
  • Experience preparing reports for and presenting directly to C-level executives.
  • Certification such as PMP, CCP/CCT (AACE), RICS or MRICS is listed.
  • Experience with master-planned communities and phased developments.

Technical and professional skills

  • Strong knowledge of cost-control methodologies, forecasting and earned value management.
  • Understanding of UAE construction contracts, including FIDIC, and variation and claims processes.
  • Advanced Excel and dashboard/data visualisation experience; Power BI is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Oracle, SAP or equivalent cost management and planning tools.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail; clear communication, organisation, integrity and ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on landmark, multi-billion luxury developments and gain direct executive exposure.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package, with career progression in a growing organisation.
