Role overview

Join AWS Professional Services as a senior delivery consultant focused on customer cloud journeys and enterprise cloud adoption.

Work with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network to deliver cloud initiatives and customer business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex, scalable, secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Gather requirements, assess infrastructure, and recommend migration strategies.
  • Guide implementation, troubleshoot technical issues, optimize performance, and manage project risks.
  • Advise customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Mentor and train colleagues and create reusable artifacts.

Basic qualifications

  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle or engineering practices for large-scale systems.
  • Experience leading highly available, fault-tolerant enterprise or web-scale software deployments and large technical programs.
  • Experience leading software development organizations in a DevOps model.
  • At least 5 years of enterprise application modernization and migration experience, including mainframe, serverless, containers, or cloud operations.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or containers, or virtualization, plus network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, or TCP.
  • Experience with Windows Server, or REST API-based services and a big data architecture.
  • Experience building cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, AWS CodeDeploy, or GitLab.
  • Experience deploying production LLMs on AI acceleration hardware, or experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.

Preferred qualifications

  • Preferred: 10 or more years of database experience; data modeling, warehousing, or ETL; partner-facing engagements; or experience in consulting, solution architecture, platform, systems, or cloud engineering.
  • Preferred: experience architecting or operating AWS solutions and building applications with container or serverless technologies.
  • Preferred: 7 or more years of mainframe and legacy systems experience or experience with database management systems.
