Role overview

Team and customer leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing specialist Solutions Architecture team, promoting innovation, learning, and customer focus.
• Develop relationships with customer technical leaders and lead executive-level discussions connecting AWS solutions to business and technical objectives.
• Represent AWS through executive discussions, public speaking, and technical customer-facing content.

Adoption and product feedback

• Promote emerging technology adoption, including Generative AI, analytics, and automation in customer solutions.
• Guide whitepapers, presentations, and other materials that share customer-facing best practices.
• Develop strategies for long-term adoption across Data and Developer tools, Advanced Compute, Core Services, Migration/Modernization, or Business Applications.
• Coordinate with architecture, sales, business development, marketing, partner, and training teams on customer acquisition.
• Capture Canadian customer feedback and relay it to global teams to influence product roadmaps and go-to-market strategy.

Basic qualifications

• At least 8 years managing a technical team of Solutions Architects, sales engineers, or similar technical roles.
• Experience architecting or operating solutions on a cloud provider such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.
• Direct customer engagement experience focused on senior executives, including vice presidents and C-suite leaders.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
• AWS Professional-level certification or a degree in advanced technology.
• Deep expertise in at least two specialist areas such as Analytics, Databases, Storage, AI/ML, or Compute.

Compensation

• Annual base salary range is CAD 194,000–291,000 for Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal; total compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
