Senior Engagement Manager, Professional Services

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage projects independently and as part of larger teams; own workstreams from understanding customer outcomes through delivery.
• Lead teams, manage customer expectations and risks, and use effective governance to deliver solutions tied to customer business objectives.
• Communicate with AWS teams, stakeholders, and customer counterparts; make customer satisfaction a key focus.
• Engage other teams to learn and share, and participate in recruiting and onboarding team members.
• Travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.
• Help customers make technical and business decisions through best practices and by identifying and closing project gaps.

Basic qualifications

• At least 2 years leading multiple Agile teams concurrently or at scale.
• At least 7 years leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Knowledge of public cloud value propositions and cloud engagement delivery, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Experience delivering customer engagements in a professional services role.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 7 years delivering customer engagements in a professional services role.
• Active project management certification such as APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, or PRINCE2; AWS certification.
• Experience with Agile and project management tools such as Jira, Rally, VersionOne, or Taiga.
• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of business across organizations or equivalent.
• At least 5 years as an Engagement Manager for a cloud service provider or consulting firm.

Workplace and travel
