Sr. Civil Procurement Engineer-Construction

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of construction materials including concrete, reinforcement steel, cement, blocks, waterproofing, tiles, sanitaryware, and finishes.
• Review drawings, BOQs, specifications, and requirements to prepare procurement schedules aligned with project milestones.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors in the UAE; compare quotations and negotiate competitive commercial terms.
• Coordinate with project teams and consultants on procurement, technical data, samples, material approvals, and delivery schedules.
• Issue purchase orders and requisitions, monitor supplier performance and deliveries, and coordinate stock and consumption with store and site teams.
• Track market prices, costs, commitments, variations, and cost-saving opportunities; resolve supply and quality issues.
• Maintain procurement records and report on pending orders, delivery schedules, approvals, and project risks; follow company policies and ethical purchasing practices.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5–8 years of relevant construction procurement experience; UAE-market experience is preferred.
• Experience in villa and high-rise building projects.
• Arabic-speaking ability is required, with good English communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of civil construction materials, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and material submittals.
• Supplier sourcing, negotiation, cost analysis, vendor management, and understanding of UAE suppliers and procurement practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and procurement or ERP systems.
• Organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage projects and deadlines under pressure.

Pay

• Pay is up to AED 16,000 per month.
