Role overview
Procure civil materials, equipment, and subcontracting services for UAE villa and high-rise construction projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Prepare procurement plans according to project requirements and schedules.
- Source and evaluate suppliers; obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, and prepare purchase recommendations.
- Procure concrete, reinforcement steel, blocks, cement, waterproofing, tiles, finishing materials, and other civil items.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, Planning, Accounts, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review BOQs, drawings, specifications, and requirements; ensure materials meet project specifications, approved samples, and UAE standards.
- Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and site material availability; follow up on delays and resolve procurement issues.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.
- Identify cost savings while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Proven civil procurement experience on UAE construction projects, including villa and high-rise building projects.
- Good knowledge of UAE construction materials, suppliers, and market prices.
- Ability to read BOQs, drawings, specifications, and material submittals.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and procurement documentation.
- Strong negotiation, coordination, communication, and analytical skills.
Pay
- Pay is up to AED 20,000 per month.
