Construction Manager

Role overview

Construction delivery

• Manage and supervise villa and high-rise construction from commencement through final handover.
• Develop construction plans, work schedules, and execution strategies to complete work on time.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, planning engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Monitor daily site progress against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Oversee civil, structural, architectural, finishing, and related construction works.
• Review drawings, technical documents, and specifications to identify and resolve site issues.
• Monitor budgets, manpower, materials, equipment, and other resources to achieve cost-effective construction.
• Identify delays, technical challenges, and resource constraints, and implement corrective actions.

Quality, safety, and coordination

• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, authority requirements, project specifications, and health and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and coordination meetings to monitor progress, quality, safety, and productivity.
• Supervise site engineers, general foremen, foremen, subcontractors, and other construction personnel.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to follow quality procedures and rectify non-conformities.
• Coordinate with procurement and commercial teams on material delivery, subcontractor performance, and cost control.
• Monitor concrete, structural, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, painting, and other finishing activities.
• Coordinate civil, MEP, architectural, and finishing teams to prevent delays and conflicts.
• Manage inspections, testing, snagging, defect rectification, and final handover.
• Maintain safe working conditions and effective site housekeeping; report progress, delays, risks, and actions to senior management.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 8–10 years of relevant construction experience, preferably with substantial UAE experience.
• Proven experience managing both villa and high-rise building projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural works, architectural finishes, and site management.
• Good understanding of UAE construction standards, authority requirements, quality procedures, and safety regulations.
• Leadership, team management, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple construction activities simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings, reviewing technical documents, and monitoring project schedules.
• Strong coordination skills with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams.

Compensation

• Pay is up to AED 35,000 per month.
