Civil QA/QC Engineer

Role overview

Quality inspections and control

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures according to project specifications, approved Quality Plans, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Inspect civil works including excavation, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete casting, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, screeding, tiling, and finishes.
• Check site activities against approved shop drawings, method statements, material specifications, and project requirements.
• Verify material approvals and compliance before installation or use.
• Monitor concrete reinforcement and formwork inspections, pouring procedures, slump and cube tests, and curing.
• Inspect waterproofing at roofs, bathrooms, balconies, basements, swimming pools, and other wet areas; check finishes against approved samples and workmanship standards.

Documentation and coordination

• Prepare, review, and maintain ITPs, inspection requests, checklists, method statements, and quality records.
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with project managers, construction managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Issue NCRs, investigate non-conformities, and follow corrective and preventive actions through closure.
• Coordinate third-party laboratory testing and document approved test reports.
• Maintain inspection reports, material approvals, test certificates, and quality records for audits and handover.
• Participate in quality audits, prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports, and support snagging and de-snagging closeout.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Proven experience as a Civil QA/QC Engineer in UAE villa and high-rise building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, inspection procedures, quality control systems, construction materials, UAE standards, project specifications, and consultant approval procedures.
• Experience preparing QA/QC documentation, ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs, inspection reports, and material submittals.
• Ability to interpret structural, architectural, and shop drawings and technical specifications.
• Fluent Arabic speaking is mandatory; good English communication and report-writing skills are required.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction documentation systems; strong coordination, attention to detail, problem-solving, and deadline-management abilities.

Compensation

• Pay is up to AED 20,000 per month.
