SR. ACCOUNTANT (BACK OFFICE)

Primary purpose

Treasury operations and reporting

• Supervise cash and inter-bank transfers and treasury funding and deal settlements, ensuring authorized requests are planned and executed on time in compliance with governance requirements.
• Oversee payment flows for cash, loans, investments, borrowings, bonds, swaps, and other loan derivatives; support accurate IFRS financial reporting and mitigate contractual default risk.
• Oversee bank statement uploads into SAP, support clearance of outstanding items, and report dashboard KPIs within agreed turnaround times.
• Maintain bank and treasury general ledger master data in SAP when companies, banking relationships, or counterparties are set up.
• Review and report on the performance of locally and internationally listed equity and debt investments.
• Implement controls and reporting to ensure Group Treasury transactions and investments comply with approved policies and procedures.

Continuity and audits

• Coordinate business continuity for Group Treasury and work with process owners, joint ventures, and subsidiaries to identify, monitor, report, and mitigate risks.
• Lead as the focal point for periodic and annual Internal Audit, External Audit, State Bureau Audit, and Quality Audit reviews and requirements.

Experience and skills

• At least 10–15 years of experience in a medium to large organization, with adequate exposure to accounting and finance functions.
• Similar-capacity experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience with computerized business systems, including MS Power BI, MS Office packages, and SAP TRM or similar advanced ERP systems.
• Excellent people management, leadership, and coaching skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, or Accounting, and/or globally accepted professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, or CMA.
