Role Overview
AWS is seeking a Solutions Architect to help customers adopt AWS cloud, modernize applications, migrate workloads, and deploy innovative solutions.
The role acts as a trusted customer advocate and technology advisor across cloud, AI, data, infrastructure, security, networking, and related domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop consultative relationships with customers to understand business challenges, technical requirements, and compliance needs.
- Advise customers on AWS services and technology strategies for application modernization, cloud migration, and AI solution delivery.
- Architect and deploy resilient, secure, and scalable cloud-based solutions tailored to customer industries.
- Collaborate with customers to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Enable customers to achieve business objectives through AWS services and industry best practices.
- Stay current with AWS services, features, and best practices.
- Share cloud knowledge and contribute to the development of innovative AWS offerings.
Day-to-Day Work
- Manage time across customer and account-team support using detailed knowledge of AWS solutions.
- Engage AWS subject matter experts when a customer need falls outside the architect's expertise while retaining ownership of the inquiry.
- Work with account teams, specialists, and partners to deliver practical solutions that accelerate customer outcomes.
- Scale impact through thought leadership and use customer feedback to help improve AWS products and services.
- Continue developing knowledge through AWS accreditation and education opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 5 years of IT development or implementation and consulting experience in the software or Internet industries is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in one or more technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data and analytics is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in application or infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries is preferred.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud is preferred.
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a development or operations perspective is preferred.
- Knowledge of AWS services is preferred.
