Role Overview
The CloudWatch Logs team builds and manages large-scale logging systems for AWS customers and internal users.
CloudWatch Logs supports log ingestion, analysis, metric and alarm generation, and forwarding data to downstream systems.
This is a full-stack software development position with a backend focus.

Role overview
The CloudWatch Logs team builds and manages large-scale logging systems for AWS customers and internal users.

Responsibilities
- Build and manage scalable logging services.
- Help users find and analyze log data to solve operational problems.
- Support metric and alarm generation from log events and delivery of logs to downstream systems.
Basic qualifications
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 3 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation
- The stated base salary range is $143,700 to $194,400 USD annually for Bellevue, Washington.
- The compensation package may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
