Join WEX Benefits Technology to build software for employer benefits solutions and services.
The role involves designing customer-focused solutions and delivering high-quality software using modern technologies and test-driven practices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, measure data, and drive decisions based on customer and system insights.
- Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions, including React Micro Frontends and RESTful integrations.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines and implement Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform.
- Apply TDD, BDD, microservice, and vertical slice architecture practices.
- Support live applications through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze systems, identify bottlenecks, mentor peers, and complete work independently.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for modern technologies and design.
Technology Requirements
- React.js, JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- ASP.NET Core and RESTful API design or integration.
- Docker, relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and Git workflows.
- Azure, Kubernetes, Helm or ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and NoSQL databases are technologies candidates must have or learn quickly.
