The Mechanical Site Engineer oversees and coordinates on-site mechanical works.
Installations must meet approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical work and review drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Coordinate work across architectural, structural, electrical, and MEP disciplines and with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Monitor progress, schedule, workmanship, quality, and HSE compliance; conduct site inspections.
- Identify technical issues and coordinate corrective action; follow up on RFIs, inspections, testing, commissioning, and documentation.
- Review material submittals and technical submissions when required, and provide progress and issue updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 6 years as a Mechanical Site Engineer in construction, fit-out, MEP, or consultancy projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services and site execution; ability to interpret mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Strong coordination skills with consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of applicable technical standards and quality requirements, plus problem-solving, communication, and site coordination skills.
- UAE project experience is highly preferred; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
Compensation
- Advertised pay is AED 8,000–10,000 per month.
