Role overview
Supports pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and startup of telecom and communication systems on major UAE Oil & Gas EPC projects.
Work includes operating facilities, brownfield modifications, and integration with ICSS/DCS systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning activities and test, troubleshoot, and verify telecom systems and interfaces.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, clients, operations, and vendors, particularly on brownfield and live-plant interfaces.
- Prepare commissioning procedures, method statements, risk assessments, and testing protocols.
- Support SAT, ISAT, operational, interface, and network tests; complete walkdowns, ITRs, and punch-list closeout.
- Follow HSE, PTW, project procedure, and industry-standard requirements.
Experience and education
- Requires 12–20 years of telecom commissioning experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Requires industrial telecom commissioning and experience with brownfield modifications, system integration, and live-plant commissioning.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
- ADNOC project experience is preferred.
Skills and competencies
- Knowledge of CCTV, PAGA, access control, radio, telephony, LAN/WAN, fiber optics, industrial communication protocols, and Modbus integration.
- Requires understanding of commissioning documentation, system handover, and HSE compliance.
- Requires troubleshooting, problem-solving, stakeholder coordination, communication, and reporting abilities.
