Interface Coordinator

Role overview

Interface planning and control

• Develop and implement the Interface Management Plan in line with contractual and project requirements.
• Establish interface procedures, registers, tracking systems, and reporting mechanisms; define stakeholder responsibilities.
• Identify and manage internal and external interfaces through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Maintain the Interface Register and ensure interface points are assigned, monitored, and closed in a timely manner.

Project coordination

• Coordinate with the KJO Project Management Team on technical clarifications, approvals, and interface resolutions; follow up on client actions.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary engineering coordination, monitor critical deliverables, and align engineering packages with project requirements.
• Coordinate vendor documentation submissions, reviews, and approvals; align procurement activities with project schedules and resolve material-delivery issues.
• Manage construction, subcontractor, and stakeholder interfaces, including work-front availability, access, sequencing, and site conflicts.
• Coordinate with utility providers, authorities, external contractors, and other third parties; monitor external approvals, permits, and dependencies.

Meetings and risk management

• Lead regular interface meetings and prepare agendas, minutes, action trackers, and status reports.
• Identify interface risks and implement mitigation strategies; monitor critical schedule and cost interfaces.
• Maintain interface KPIs and report critical issues to management.

Experience and education

• 7–10 years of EPC project experience and at least 5 years of interface-management experience on industrial projects.
• Proven experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering in any discipline.
• Brownfield project experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with KJO and/or Saudi Aramco project procedures is advantageous.

Skills and competencies

• Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills; solid understanding of the EPC project lifecycle.
• Knowledge of engineering workflows, construction interfaces, and project-execution processes.
• Schedule awareness and experience with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Document control, tracking, reporting, risk identification, issue resolution, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Sound technical and contractual understanding.
