Contracts Engineer

Role overview

Contract review and commercial support

• Review tender-stage contract and subcontract documents to identify contractual qualifications, risks, and deviations.
• Evaluate commercial and contractual obligations and support compliance with contract terms, project requirements, and applicable frameworks.

Contract and subcontract administration

• Prepare and administer subcontract documents and contractual agreements.
• Draft and manage Variation Orders, MOUs, Confidentiality Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Consortium Agreements, and Settlement Agreements.
• Support administration of prime contracts and subcontracts, including contractual correspondence and documentation.

Claims and stakeholder coordination

• Assist with contractual claims by collating and maintaining contemporaneous project records.
• Support dispute avoidance and claims management with project and commercial teams.
• Attend meetings with internal departments, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on contractual matters.

Experience and education

• 2–4 years in Quantity Surveying, Contracts Administration, or Commercial support within EPC, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Contract management, subcontract administration, and claims experience is preferred; UAE or Middle East Oil & Gas EPC exposure is an advantage.
• FIDIC or contract/law-based training is an advantage; APC candidates preparing for MRICS are encouraged to apply.

Skills and competencies

• Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial processes; able to review documents and identify commercial risks.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, strong organization, attention to detail, and documentation control.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency; Primavera P6 working knowledge is desirable.
• Able to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders.
