Logistics Officer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage shipping, receiving, customs clearance, transportation, delivery, and warehousing.
• Monitor inbound and outbound materials, equipment, and consumables; maintain shipment and inventory records.
• Prepare packing lists, Bills of Lading, delivery notes, shipping manifests, and customs documents.
• Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, transport providers, and customs agents.
• Support route planning and equipment mobilization; identify logistics risks and help prevent delays.
• Follow company procedures, project requirements, and UAE and regional logistics regulations.

Experience and education

• Mandatory 3–5 years of logistics experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Engineering, Construction, or industrial project environments.
• Proven experience supporting project-driven logistics and material coordination.
• A bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Shipping, customs, transportation, and warehouse-coordination experience is highly preferred.

Skills and competencies

• Knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, customs regulations, and logistics documentation.
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
• Organizational, coordination, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in fast-paced EPC projects; proficiency in inventory tracking, shipment monitoring, and logistics reporting.
