Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system descriptions, user manuals, operating and maintenance procedures, proposals, reports, concept documents, and training materials.
• Translate complex technical, operational, and engineering information into clear content for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with engineers, solution architects, project managers, operations teams, and subject-matter experts to collect and validate content.
• Prepare Spanish-language documentation for Latin American customers and stakeholders.
• Review documents for accuracy, consistency, clarity, completeness, and document-control compliance.
• Support tender responses, statements of work, technical submissions, project plans, and customer presentations as required.
• Ensure documentation meets contractual, customer, quality, and programme-timeline requirements.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, International Relations, Security Studies, Linguistics, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Specialist, Technical Communications Specialist, or similar.
• Proven technical-documentation experience with complex systems, technology programmes, engineering, or relevant security, defence, aviation, telecom, or government projects.
• Native or near-native Spanish proficiency for formal professional technical writing, plus strong written and verbal English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Latin American customers, government or public-sector stakeholders, or multinational delivery teams is highly desirable.
• Exposure to border management, surveillance, command-and-control, biometrics, identity management, security operations centres, intelligence platforms, unmanned systems, sensors, communications, or integrated security solutions.
• Government, defence, homeland security, law-enforcement, or critical-infrastructure documentation experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of technical-documentation standards, structured authoring, document-control practices, or configuration management is preferred.
