EDGE seeks a Senior Engineer - Antenna and Communications for Halcon to lead development of antenna and communication systems for missile and defence applications.
The role covers RF system engineering, electromagnetic analysis, communication-link evaluation, SDR development, antenna optimization, and subsystem integration.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, test, and optimize antenna systems and RF communication subsystems.
- Perform electromagnetic modelling, RF propagation analysis, link budgets, channel characterization, and interference assessments.
- Develop and validate SDR solutions, including signal processing, modulation, coding techniques, and performance analysis.
- Lead technical reviews, qualification testing, and cross-functional integration; mentor junior engineers.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6–8 years of experience in RF engineering, antenna design, and wireless communication systems.
- Strong expertise in antenna theory, electromagnetics, RF propagation, interference analysis, and communication system design.
- Proficiency with CST, HFSS, Simulink, Microwave Office, MATLAB, and C/C++.
Preferred qualifications
- Defence, aerospace, missile, radar, or military communications industry experience is preferred.
- Prior technical leadership, including leading engineering teams, design reviews, and qualification activities, is preferred.
