EDGE seeks a Senior Engineer - EMC/EMI for Halcon to support advanced electronic and RF defence systems.
The work focuses on EMC/EMI compliance, E3, risk assessment, testing, troubleshooting, and system-level integration with engineering teams, laboratories, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EMC/EMI analysis, testing, validation, and military-standard compliance activities for electronic and RF systems.
- Lead pre-compliance and formal testing for emissions, immunity, ESD, surge, radiated susceptibility, and conducted susceptibility.
- Investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop test plans, technical reports, and compliance documentation; guide and mentor junior engineers.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 6–8 years of experience in EMC/EMI engineering, RF systems, electromagnetic analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of EMC, EMI, E3, MIL-STD-461, electromagnetic principles, and compliance methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with RF/EMC test equipment and tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, CST/HFSS, and Microwave Office.
Preferred qualifications
- Defence, aerospace, military, or mission-critical electronics industry experience is preferred.
- Exposure to E3, HIRF, Lightning Effects, EMRADHAZ (HERO/HERP/HERF), and system certification programs is preferred.
