About the role

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and development from concept through production and product support.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, design analyses, and technical evaluations against performance requirements.
• Develop and review design documentation, engineering changes, test specifications, and verification activities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and support multidisciplinary development programs and project execution.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum relevant mechanical-design experience: 12 years with a bachelor's degree, 10 years with a master's degree, or 9 years with a PhD.
• Aerospace or defense industry experience is preferred.
• Strong expertise in CAD systems, Product Data Management (PDM), engineering analysis, and mechanical-design methodologies.
• Experience in product development, testing, manufacturing support, and performance evaluation of complex mechanical systems.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in guided munition, missile, aerospace, or defense product development and manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and supporting multidisciplinary engineering programs.

Language
