Responsibilities
- Lead the on-site structural engineering team and ensure work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Manage daily structural site activities and coordinate contractors and subcontractors.
- Inspect foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and other structural elements for project and regulatory compliance.
- Carry out additional structural calculations and advise on safe, compliant construction methods.
- Coordinate structural work with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines against project goals and timelines.
- Communicate with stakeholders, address structural concerns, and clarify technical matters.
- Contribute to monthly progress reports as directed by the Resident Engineer.
- Maintain daily reports, inspection records, and non-compliance reports for tracking and audits.
- Ensure structural work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 12+ years of structural engineering experience, including a strong background in infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
