Role overview
Experienced Senior Structural Draftsman sought to support structural engineering and construction activities on major building projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare structural shop, construction, and as-built drawings.
- Detail reinforced concrete and structural steel elements, including foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and stairs.
- Review IFC drawings, specifications, schedules, and structural details before preparing shop drawings.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural, MEP, civil, and other disciplines.
- Incorporate consultant/PMC comments and maintain drawing revisions.
- Prepare as-built documentation using site redlines and actual site conditions.
- Report drawing discrepancies, missing information, and coordination issues to the structural engineer.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, site engineers, BIM teams, and project management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of structural drafting experience.
- Strong practical structural shop drawing and detailing experience; excellent AutoCAD skills.
- Understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel construction.
- Ability to read IFC drawings, structural plans, sections, details, and schedules.
- Experience with consultant/PMC submissions and technical comments.
- Knowledge of construction methods and site requirements.
- Diploma required.
- Revit Structure/BIM experience is an advantage; UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
Compensation
- Full-time role paying AED 8,000–13,000 per month.
