Key responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and coordinate steel fixers, assign daily tasks and monitor productivity against project milestones.
- Use structural drawings, Bar Bending Schedules and reinforcement details to plan daily steel-fixing activities.
- Oversee rebar cutting, bending, placing and tying; ensure spacing, lap lengths, concrete cover and anchorage meet specifications.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers and QA/QC teams to secure inspection and approval before concrete pouring.
- Enforce HSE rules and site safety guidance, conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure appropriate PPE use.
- Monitor reinforcement materials to minimize waste and report shortages.
Requirements
- At least four years as a Steel Fixer Foreman in the UAE, specifically on large commercial or high-rise building projects.
- Strong structural drawing and BBS interpretation skills and deep understanding of civil structural requirements.
- Proven ability to manage large crews of 20 or more workers and maintain discipline on site.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UAE construction safety standards and permit-to-work systems.
- Major developer project experience, including Musanada, ALDAR, ADNOC or Emaar, is an advantage.
- Immediate or short-notice availability is requested; a valid UAE visa is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
- Pay is AED 5,000–6,000 per month, based on experience and interview performance.
