Position Overview
CGI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and AWS Cloud.

Location
- Main locations are Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot applications.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices and build reusable, maintainable code.
- Design AWS cloud-native applications using services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch.
- Contribute to architecture, technical design, distributed systems, scalability, performance, availability, security, and reliability.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and/or Azure DevOps.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with QA, product, business analysis, architecture, DevOps, and engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, mentor junior developers, and support modernization and cloud migration.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong Core Java or J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API, AWS, SQL, and relational database experience.
- Experience with distributed systems, design patterns, object-oriented programming, software architecture, and Agile/Scrum.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Infrastructure as Code, AWS certifications, cloud-native development, and financial services or banking experience are good to have.
