Work arrangement

  • The role is hybrid and requires at least one day per week at the downtown Toronto office and/or a client office; this requirement may change.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members; set expectations and support performance, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Guide the team through change by communicating priorities, supporting adoption, and maintaining consistent service delivery.
  • Oversee daily Mackenzie product operations, including Private Wealth and Trade Settlement activities, in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, employees, leaders, and business partners to support collaboration and a high-quality client experience.
  • Communicate operational priorities, decisions, risks, and service updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Monitor team performance, service standards, deadlines, and workload; address issues and escalate concerns promptly.
  • Promote accuracy, strong controls, and compliance; identify risks and take appropriate action to reduce them.
  • Resolve escalated client and operational issues with relevant partners.
  • Identify process, control, and efficiency improvements and lead implementation of approved changes.
  • Encourage accountability, sound judgment, and continuous improvement across the team.

Required qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams and guide them through change.
  • Strong client-service focus and ability to build trusted relationships with employees, peers, leaders, and business partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong ownership and accountability, including setting expectations, delegating, managing priorities, and delivering within deadlines.
  • Risk-management mindset focused on accuracy, controls, timely escalation, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including improving processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of Mackenzie products, policies, and procedures, including Private Wealth and Trade Settlement roles and responsibilities.
  • Completion of the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) and/or relevant operations courses.

Assets

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.

Compensation

  • The employer estimates the current pay range at $75,000–$125,000; the posting does not specify a pay cadence.
