Senior Roller Operator role in a long-product rolling mill in the steel manufacturing industry.
The posting lists the location as UAE and requires a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-speed block mill operations.
- Change passes, rings, and guides according to the required rolling size.
- Inspect finished coils for product quality and weight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot rolling mill issues and assist in clearing cobbles.
- Guide team members, support shift operations, and act as Shift Supervisor when the regular supervisor is absent.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and follow health, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience as a Roller Operator in a long-product rolling mill.
- Knowledge of roll pass design, precision measuring instruments, and finished product quality standards.
Preferred qualifications
- A diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering is preferred.
- Experience in high-speed block mill operations is preferred.
