Senior QC Engineer (Mechanical) position focused on mechanical quality control and inspection.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect piping fabrication and erection, equipment installation, and pressure testing.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved ITPs, international codes, and client quality requirements.
- Review inspection reports, material certificates, welding and NDT records, and mechanical completion documentation.
- Coordinate inspections with the client, PMC, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
- Manage NCRs, quality observations, punch lists, and mechanical handover dossiers.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in mechanical quality control and inspection.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and ISO standards, piping systems, and static and rotating equipment.
- Experience in inspection, testing, quality documentation, and client coordination.
- Familiarity with quality documentation systems, electronic document management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- English language proficiency is mandatory.
Preferred qualifications
- ISO 9001 Quality Management System awareness or auditor training is preferred.
- CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or equivalent welding inspection certification is preferred.
- NDT Level II knowledge may apply; relevant API inspection certifications and previous QA/QC or welding inspection certifications are advantageous.
