Lead Welding Engineer for an oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi.
Lead welding engineering activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, and applicable international codes and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise welding engineering activities under project specifications, approved procedures, codes, and standards.
- Develop, review, and approve WPS, PQR, and related welding documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and project requirements.
- Coordinate welding work for pipelines, piping systems, pressure vessels, structural steel, and other project facilities as applicable.
- Review material specifications, welding consumables, base materials, filler metals, and traceability requirements.
- Supervise welder and welding-operator qualification, certification, and performance monitoring.
