The engineer will report to the project manager and project coordinator.

Job Description
The substation specialist will supervise on-site all works related to the substation.
Locations: one in Ghunan (KSA), one in Salwa (KSA), and one in Silaa (UAE).
The engineer will report to the project manager and project coordinator.
The engineer will be part of a team of approximately 14 engineers or assistant engineers located on various project sites.
Major Accountabilities and Tasks
- Supervise construction and ensure expeditious and economical construction in accordance with EPC Contracts.
- Monitor the EPC contractor to ensure quality, safety, schedule, and compliance to approved design, and lead site inspections.
- Detect and anticipate site issues and suggest solutions in liaison with project management and EPC teams.
- Review and assess the contractor's daily report.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to carry out commissioning activities.
- Interpret drawings and specifications and consult with contractors to ensure compliance with the program.
- Rectify any errors revealed in the detailed design or working drawings.
- Supervise inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Oversee site safety, health, and environmental aspects to ensure a safe site environment with zero man-hour loss.
- Maintain records of site activities, progress, non-conformities, remedial actions, and lessons learned.
- Perform site progress meetings and attend monthly meetings as required by project management.
- Certify reports of materials, site progress, inspections, and joint measurement certificates.
Qualifications
- Electrical engineer with minimum 10 years' experience in 400 kV substation turnkey installations for similar projects in nature and complexity.
- Proven record of working on similar projects in both design and construction phases.
- Strong attention to field safety.
- Working language will be English (spoken and written).
- Speaking Arabic would be appreciated but is not mandatory.
