Role Overview

Meltwater is seeking a Senior Product Designer to set UX and UI standards, lead complex user journeys, and advance the company’s design system.

The role focuses on enterprise-grade SaaS experiences, comprehensive workflows, GenAI-enabled design, and independent ownership.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end UX workflows and complex platform-wide user journeys addressing user and business needs.
  • Set and evolve design-system standards with scalable, reusable components and patterns.
  • Use Claude, ChatGPT, Vercel, and other GenAI platforms for ideation, prototyping, and workflow automation.
  • Use user research, personas, journey mapping, and usability testing to inform and iterate designs.
  • Partner with stakeholders, product managers, engineers, and executives to align vision, strategy, and execution.
  • Establish UX/UI, accessibility, and modern design best practices while mentoring the broader design team.
  • Produce development-ready assets, flows, wireframes, and final visuals with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Lead high-impact initiatives, pursue emerging opportunities, and drive product innovation across global use cases.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of product design, UI, or UX experience with a strong enterprise SaaS background.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills for collaboration with global teams.
  • Mastery of Figma and modern design and prototyping tools.
  • Hands-on expertise with GenAI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT.
  • Proven leadership in setting and maintaining design systems and standards.
  • Portfolio showing recent product launches focused on UX workflows, large user journeys, and design systems.
  • Advanced user research experience with personas, journey maps, usability testing, and actionable design solutions.
  • Ability to present and advocate for design decisions, independently lead projects, collaborate extensively, and adapt to change.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.

Bonus Qualification

  • Experience with React and third-party design system tools.

Compensation

  • The base salary range is $127,000 to $169,000 CAD.
  • Compensation may include a performance-based bonus opportunity and is determined by skills, experience, capabilities, and location.
