Role overview

Design and construction delivery

• Set MEP delivery strategy and provide technical leadership across project stages; identify and mitigate technical, schedule, cost, and interface risks.
• Review designs, calculations, and submissions; coordinate MEP with architecture and other disciplines; support value engineering and technical optimization.
• Oversee on-site MEP works, contractor performance, installation quality, construction methods, coordination, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate authorities, regulatory approvals, inspections, and responses to authority comments.

Systems and sustainability

• Coordinate fire protection, alarm, emergency, fire-strategy, and Civil Defense requirements, including testing and approvals.
• Lead MEP contributions to sustainability and LEED; identify energy and water efficiency, renewable-energy, and smart-technology opportunities.
• Manage museum and cultural-building requirements, exhibition environmental conditions, curator and specialist-consultant coordination, and specialist systems.
• Oversee HVAC and cooling capacity, exhibition needs, resilience, and maintainability of critical spaces.

Commercial, commissioning, and risk

• Provide procurement input, review contractor proposals and changes, define contract scope, and manage MEP subcontractors.
• Lead testing, commissioning, and handover; review procedures, coordinate integrated systems testing, and oversee O&M manuals and asset information.
• Manage MEP risks, quality, project-program support, delay mitigation, and equipment procurement and delivery.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 20+ years of relevant experience in major building and infrastructure projects; museum experience is preferred.
• Experience managing MEP delivery on large-scale, complex projects.
• Strong understanding of UAE regulations and energy-efficiency requirements.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, excellent understanding of complex MEP systems, authority approvals, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.
