Role overview

The Retail Sales Representative Showroom helps customers purchase IKEA products while maintaining merchandising standards and product availability.

Performance is measured by sales, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities, solve problems, suggest additional purchases, and achieve sales targets.
  • Recommend sales-strategy improvements and actions for slow-moving items.
  • Maintain product displays using approved merchandising standards and become an expert in the Home Furnishing Business range.
  • Gather customer and competitor information about local market trends; stay informed about product range changes.
  • Give the Sales Manager feedback on customer issues and product-range gaps.
  • Inspect the assigned area daily for price labels, product tags, and communication media.
  • Review stock levels, recommend orders to the Shopkeeper, and coordinate stock availability with the Procurement Executive.
  • Support sales operations through multitasking, CRM coverage, and cash office management under pressure.
  • Understand diverse customer needs, build trust, prepare pro forma invoices, and follow up on quotations and items of interest.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar retail sales role.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong customer focus and initiative in selling practices.
  • A sales-driven, results-oriented approach and the ability to multitask under pressure.

Preferred qualification

  • University education is preferred.

Work setting

  • The position is a retail showroom role at IKEA Dalma.
