Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - REVIT

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting system design for building projects.
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, layouts, sections, and coordinated BIM models in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform and review engineering calculations, design reports, specifications, and related documentation.
• Coordinate designs across architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Check deliverables for accuracy, quality, compliance, and effective coordination.
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes, international standards, and relevant authority requirements.
• Resolve technical issues and design comments with project managers, clients, teams, and authorities.
• Lead design reviews, value engineering, and resolution of complex design conflicts.
• Manage authority submissions and incorporate review comments into revised design documents.
• Mentor junior engineers, monitor progress, and support timely delivery through design and approval stages.

Requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Minimum 12–15 years of professional mechanical design experience.
• Advanced Revit proficiency and strong AutoCAD proficiency are mandatory.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Strong understanding of UAE codes, standards, and authority approvals, including DM, DCD, and DEWA as applicable.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and coordinating mechanical drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Experience leading design activities and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• UAE-based engineering consultancy experience is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills; ability to manage projects and deadlines.
