Role Overview
Experienced HSE Engineer role supporting health, safety, and environmental compliance across project operations.
The position supports a strong safety culture within engineering consultancy, supervision consultancy, and construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with UAE HSE regulations, project requirements, and company safety policies.
- Conduct site HSE inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, HSE plans, and related documents.
- Coordinate HSE matters with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions.
- Monitor PPE use and site safety procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
- Follow up on observations, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
- Support emergency preparedness and response procedures.
- Maintain HSE records, reports, checklists, and documentation.
- Provide HSE reports and updates to project management.
- Promote continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of UAE experience in HSE.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety requirements.
- Experience with risk assessments, method statements, site inspections, incident investigations, and HSE documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively with consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Experience with an engineering consultant, supervision consultant, or construction company in the UAE is preferred.
- NEBOSH and/or IOSH certification is preferred.
- A UAE driving license is advantageous.
