Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP design teams and oversee design from concept through detailed design and authority approvals.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, local authority requirements, and applicable international standards.
• Manage design deliverables, schedules, resources, and departmental performance; coordinate with clients, project managers, consultants, and internal engineering teams.
• Review and approve drawings, design calculations, specifications, and technical submissions; resolve cross-discipline design conflicts.
• Manage submissions and approvals with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, and other relevant UAE authorities.
• Mentor engineers, architects, and design coordinators; monitor progress, quality, and timely delivery.
• Identify and address design risks to reduce delays, rework, and cost implications.
• Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, project reviews, and business development activities when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is mandatory; a Master’s degree or relevant management qualification is an advantage.
• 12–15 years of professional experience in the UAE engineering consultancy industry and fluency in Arabic are mandatory.
• Proven senior design management or departmental leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, authority approval procedures, and design standards.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and complex building projects and coordinating design reviews and quality control.
• Experience with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, and other relevant UAE authorities.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, project management, communication, client management, and team coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in relevant design software and BIM workflows, including AutoCAD, Revit, and other applicable tools.
