Role overview

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, vendor, service, technology, partnership, marketing agreements, and NDAs.
• Support corporate structuring, reorganisations, governance, intercompany arrangements, and corporate housekeeping.
• Handle cross-border matters and provide fintech and financial services regulatory support, including licensing and compliance frameworks.
• Govern software licensing, technology procurement, trading platform agreements, and technology provider contracts.
• Advise on privacy, data protection, data sharing, and intellectual property ownership, protection, and licensing.
• Support legal operations, contract lifecycle management, process optimisation, transactions, and dispute resolution with external counsel.
• Conduct multi-jurisdictional legal and regulatory research and turn findings into commercially workable recommendations.
• Liaise with external counsel, corporate service providers, regulators, and professional advisers; advise internal stakeholders day to day.

What you bring

• Qualified lawyer with professional experience appropriate for a Senior Legal Counsel role.
• Proven commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation experience; strong corporate law background in structuring, governance, and transactions.
• Experience with cross-border and multi-jurisdictional matters and regulatory or compliance requirements in financial or technology sectors.
• Hands-on privacy, data protection, and intellectual property experience.
• Independent legal research skills and ability to translate complex requirements into practical business guidance.
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; excellent written and spoken English.
• Self-directed ownership, ability to manage multiple priorities, and pragmatic commercial risk judgment.
• Fintech, regulated financial services, financial markets, or technology-driven business experience is an advantage.
