Role mission

Lead the squad responsible for the rules governing CFD challenges, balancing trader experience with financial integrity.

The role spans challenge design, trader-facing rules, simulation and backtesting, and abuse prevention.

Challenge design and rule architecture

  • Design and launch challenge types for new trader segments and incremental revenue.
  • Analyze competitor challenge rules and risk parameters to keep FundedNext’s designs differentiated.
  • Lead the CFDs Trading Rules & Risk squad and specify backend rule-engine, simulation, and backtesting work.

Trader experience and communications

  • Define dashboard presentation of rule statuses, drawdown levels, violation warnings, and account health.
  • Own rule-violation communication from notification triggers and channels through dispute escalation and resolution.

Tools, risk, and measurement

  • Define internal tool requirements for operations and risk teams to configure, monitor, simulate, and audit rules.
  • Partner with engineering on what-if simulation and backtesting using historical trade data.
  • Translate abusive trading patterns into product rules, detection parameters, and enforcement workflows with Trading and Risk Management.
  • Track OKRs including margin, pass/fail ratios, impact-modeling accuracy, false-positive violations, and rule-related disputes.

Experience and expertise

  • 5+ years of product management experience with significant exposure to financial products, risk management, or trading systems.
  • Strong quantitative analysis, financial modeling, simulation, and rule-change impact analysis skills.
  • Experience with business rule engines, configuration-driven product logic, or algorithmic decision systems.
  • Deep knowledge of prop trading, CFD mechanics, drawdowns, and margin management, or ability to learn complex financial domains quickly.
  • Experience designing visualizations for complex states and workflows for notifications and dispute escalation.
  • Experience with risk, fraud, or compliance teams and understanding of abusive trading patterns and product-level defenses.
  • Comfort making high-stakes decisions and collaborating with engineering teams on algorithmic and business-logic systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Selection process

  • The interview process includes a 30-minute HR session, a 60-minute direct-supervisor session, and a 60-minute session with the Chief Strategy Officer.
