Provide process engineering support to lead engineers for contract execution.
Engineering and coordination duties
- Liaise with job engineers, discipline lead engineers, project managers, and project engineering managers.
- Interface with clients and vendors through the appropriate project engineering contacts.
- Perform and review simulation studies and develop heat and mass balance sheets.
- Review sizing of equipment, instruments, and lines; prepare and review PFDs and P&IDs.
- Prepare and review datasheets for rotating, static, and instrument equipment.
- Estimate power loads and prepare or review engineering documents, reports, and operating manuals.
- Prepare and review SAFE charts and cause-and-effect diagrams.
- Review flare, blowdown, and depressurization calculations; perform or review hydraulic network-line calculations.
- Take responsibility for assigned documents, deliverables, or activities and check outputs before issue.
- Anticipate and discuss possible delays or problems with the lead engineer and coordinate for contract progress.
- Provide inputs to relevant disciplines and designers; identify and update inputs for need and hold lists.
