Role overview

EHS responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and project safety plans.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international EHS standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment, and method statement reviews.
• Oversee safety during BESS installation, battery container handling, electrical work, testing, commissioning, and energization.
• Control electrical hazards, arc flash, LOTO, working at height, lifting operations, and confined spaces.
• Prepare emergency response plans for battery thermal runaway, fire, smoke, electrolyte leakage, and related hazards.
• Coordinate EHS matters with project managers, construction and commissioning teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, toolbox talks, and training; investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor subcontractor safety, waste management, environmental protection, spill prevention, and hazardous material handling.
• Maintain EHS records and reports and ensure emergency equipment, fire protection, first-aid facilities, and evacuation arrangements are available.
• Lead EHS meetings, safety campaigns, and continuous improvement initiatives; submit periodic performance reports to project management and clients.
