Senior Business Analyst

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Lead analysis from requirements discovery and process assessment through solution validation and implementation support; facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions.
• Gather and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Assess current processes, conduct gap analysis, and design future workflows; maintain process maps, business rules, and BPMN models using tools such as Visio and ARIS.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, SOPs, and service cards; collaborate with architecture and development teams to translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix and manage requirement changes; review designs, test scenarios, and delivered functionality.
• Support test planning, UAT, defect triage, and business validation; analyze operational data and KPIs for improvement opportunities.
• Prepare stakeholder presentations, progress reports, and executive summaries; support change management, training, communication, and adoption.
• Ensure deliverables meet project governance, organizational policies, and applicable regulations; mentor junior analysts and promote consistent practices.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6–10 years of business analysis experience, including senior or lead responsibilities; experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects.
• Experience in process reengineering, process improvement, and digital transformation; strong experience preparing requirements documents, process models, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Practical UAT experience and ability to validate solutions against approved requirements.
• Arabic speaking ability and professional proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Requirements elicitation, analysis, and management; business process mapping and BPMN modeling.
• Stakeholder management and workshop facilitation; proficiency in Visio, ARIS, and Figma.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or comparable requirements management tools.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall; analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and quality.

Preferred qualifications

• Government services or public-sector digital transformation experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE government service standards, governance, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum certifications are preferred.
