Key responsibilities
- Implement the Contractor HSE Policy and Project HSE Plan across project sites.
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and training; maintain the project training matrix.
- Inspect and audit 44 backbone sites and 3 lab sites, and prepare reports for TAQA and internal management.
- Coordinate PTW for work near live grid stations, substations, cable routes, overhead line corridors, and gantries under TAQA SSR.
- Identify hazards, review risk assessments, and monitor controls for high-risk activities.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and high-risk observations; follow corrective and preventive actions through completion.
- Support emergency planning and conduct drills.
- Review subcontractor HSE submissions, monitor performance, and follow up corrective actions.
- Liaise with client HSE teams, PTW authorities, and site teams; maintain records and promote a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications and experience
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent recognized HSE qualification.
- At least 5 years of HSE experience in power utilities, substation projects, or telecom construction.
- Experience working near live electrical infrastructure under formal permit-to-work systems.
- Working knowledge of TAQA Transmission SSR and ISO 45001.
- Experience with site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and subcontractor HSE monitoring.
- Strong hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, communication, and multi-site coordination skills.

- AED 15,100 per month.
