Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
- At least 4 years in credit control, collections, or accounts receivable.
- Proven experience using Excel and BI tools for analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation; Power BI is provided as an example.
- Experience analyzing aging reports, payment behavior, and collection performance from a back-office perspective.
- Ability to perform segmentation, trend analysis, and root-cause analysis on receivables and bad debt data.
- Comfort working with targets, patience, ability to manage stress, and strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Telecom experience is preferred.
Credit and collection duties
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and investigate historical debt or bill data.
- Contact clients about overdue payments and take action to encourage timely payment.
- Process payments and refunds and resolve billing and customer credit issues.
- Update account status records and collection efforts.
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.
