An experienced Engineer – IP Core Planning is sought for a telecommunications team in the UAE.
Key responsibilities
- Design and optimize IP Core Network architecture with equipment vendors; plan and execute node modernization, upgrades, and migration projects.
- Plan network capacity using traffic forecasts and historical utilization; test and validate new network features in a laboratory before deployment.
- Develop Method of Procedure documents and configuration plans for network changes; analyze KPIs and recommend design improvements.
- Coordinate migrations with Network Operations, Service Design teams, and vendors.
- Develop network automation use cases and network intelligence architecture; support IPv4/IPv6 address management and IP resource optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- 3–6 years of relevant IP networking experience, preferably in telecommunications.
- Strong knowledge of IP Core Network planning, design, routing, and optimization.
- Experience in capacity planning, laboratory testing, migration, and modernization; knowledge of IPv4/IPv6 addressing and network performance analysis.
- Network automation and network intelligence exposure is an advantage.
- CCIE or JNCIE certification is preferred.
