Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents using security tools and techniques.
The role helps protect digital assets and preserve the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor security events, reports, alerts, and CSOC dashboards for anomalous patterns and potential incidents.
- Manage CSOC incidents and conduct root cause analysis; gather information and provide threat intelligence.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly CSOC reports and key risk indicators.
- Create and fine-tune monitoring use cases and alerts; check system health and confirm hosts and security logs are monitored.
- Build, support, and update CSOC playbooks and processes with InfoSec management guidance.
- Support configuration and administration of SIEM, antivirus, network security devices, PAM, DLP, and vulnerability management controls.
- Create security awareness communications and participate in cyber drills and CSOC exercises.
- Escalate critical issues, coordinate remediation, and perform exception reviews, due diligence, and risk assessments.
- Resolve technical security queries, recommend controls, support technology audits, and track control remediation.
- Maintain documentation related to information security incidents.
Qualifications and experience
- B.Sc. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in Security Operations or equivalent Information Technology experience.
