The International Electrician is responsible for the electrical safety and integrity of H&P drilling rig operations.
The role maintains the continual function of electrical equipment and supports electrical leadership, coaching, training, and maintenance best practices.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe electrical operation of drilling rigs, related equipment, and equipment used by personnel.
- Evaluate electrical problems, conduct safety inspections, and complete repairs and adjustments.
- Install equipment, retrofits, and upgrades and verify compliance with Saudi Arabia electrical standards.
- Order electrical parts, maintain stock, and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Lead job-related JSA and Compass Card meetings and support HSE and C.A.R.E. processes.
- Deliver electrical workshops, coach field leaders, and train personnel in maintenance best practices.
- Provide reports and work with site management to improve safety and productivity outcomes.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understand and use H&P's Permitted Operations Management System (POMS).
- Know rig electrical system safety and reliability guidelines and H&P HSE standards.
- Enter thorough service reports into E.A.M. and complete preventative maintenance procedures on time.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, task prioritization, and electrical compliance practices.
- Learn and apply Saudi legislation related to drilling, electrical standards, HSE, reporting, and audits.
- Work effectively across diverse cultural environments and comply with company policies.
Experience and Training
- Minimum three years of experience with rig drilling machinery and equipment.
- Level 1 Electric qualification with three or more years of experience as an H&P electrician.
- Completed Expert-level BOP training and Expert Electrical Workday Certification training.
- Previous experience working in indigenous environments is required by the source posting.
Work Environment
- The role supports H&P drilling rigs and field operations in Saudi Arabia.
