Role overview
The Safety Assistant Engineer supports implementation and enforcement of HSE procedures across site operations to maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor confined space entry, TBM backup operations, lifting activities, electrical works, and cross passage construction.
- Ensure tasks follow approved permits and safety standards.
- Conduct routine site inspections, identify hazards, and report them promptly for corrective action during each shift.
- Coordinate with supervisors and safety teams to promote safety awareness and meet regulatory and project requirements.
- Help prevent incidents and unsafe practices on site.
Requirements
- Ability to support and enforce HSE procedures and safety standards across site operations.
- Ability to monitor high-risk activities and check compliance with approved permits and safety standards.
- Ability to conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and report issues for corrective action.
- Ability to coordinate with supervisors and safety teams and promote safety awareness.
